Lithuania’s annual inflation rate reached 3.4% in July, higher than the European Union average, the EU’s statistics agency said Tuesday.
According to Eurostat, consumer prices in Latvia rose 3.9% and in Estonia 5.6% over the year. On a monthly basis, prices increased by 0.1% in both Lithuania and Latvia, and by 0.6% in Estonia.
Across the EU, annual inflation averaged 2.4% in July, while inflation in the 20-nation eurozone stood at 2%. Month to month, EU prices grew 0.1%, while eurozone prices were unchanged.
